What We Do
The mission of the Office of Research, Evaluation and Accountability is to plan, design, organize, control and direct operations and activities in the research, review, analysis, interpretation and reporting of various district data and information used in assessing the overall effectiveness of the educational mission and purpose of Rapid City Area Schools (RCAS). Assist in the planning, coordinating, and assessing the effectiveness of RCAS’ strategic plan. Responsible for development and dissemination of analytical data related to academic, student and administrative programs, data supportive of educational master planning, student learning outcomes, enrollment trends, and required internal and state/federal external reports. Provide assistance and counsel in the analysis and interpretation of academic, student and administrative data in support of data driven decision-making. Serve on committees as assigned and provide leadership for the district’s annual and other special reports.
