Facilities Services

The office of Facilities Services works under the direction of Superintendent of Schools. We are responsible for the management of capital construction projects, large or small. Projects are funded from the district's capital outlay, operations budget, and/or voter approved bond programs. In addition, facilities services promotes the district’s strategic plan and its facilities master plan. In many cases we collaborate and coordinate with the City of Rapid City, Pennington County, and property developers to inform the Superintendent and the board of education in matters related to growth, land procurement, and potential boundary changes. We plan, design, construct, and maintain schools to create a positive learning environment for our students, and support the facility needs to our staff and community.
