SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM

*The first day of summer feeding is June 2, 2025.

Meals at No Charge for Kids 18yrs & Under

Thanks to Meals on Wheels Western South Dakota, we are able to serve meals to seniors (60+) accompanying their grandchildren breakfast and lunch at no charge. Thanks to Black Hills Area Community Foundation, we are able to serve meals to adults (19-59yrs) accompanying their children lunch at no charge. See site details to find a location near you.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Who can eat our meals?

• All kids under 18 years.
• Seniors (60+) accompanying their grandchildren (breakfast and lunch), thanks to our partnership with Meals on Wheels Western South Dakota.
• Adults (19-59yrs) accompanying their children, while funds last thanks to Black Hills Area Community Foundation.

Do you serve breakfast and lunch?

• It depends on the site. At some sites, we serve both breakfast and lunch. At some sites, we only serve lunch. See site details above.

What do you serve?

• At our sites that offer breakfast, we serve a grain, fruit, and milk.
• At our sites that offer lunch, we serve either a hot or cold lunch including a grain, protein, fruit/veg, and milk.

What about inclement weather at mobile feeding sites?

• Safety is our priority. If lighting is closer than 5 miles, we will shut down our site for the affected serving sites.
• Due to unforeseen weather (extreme temps, thunder/lightning, etc.) we many need to unexpectedly cancel service at our food truck. We will update this website as quickly as possible with that information. Thank you for understanding.
