Sharing the Success: Carrie Huber

Sharing the Success!

In 2023, Carrie was awarded the James Madison Memorial Fellowship for secondary social studies teachers. One teacher is chosen per state for the $24,000 award. With the funds, Carrie is working on a Masters in American History and Government focusing on constitutional studies. This prestigious program aims to better equip teachers with knowledge of our founding as a nation. This summer, she will spend a month in DC, taking a Georgetown course with all her fellow students from across the country. The program places the most significant emphasis on reading and discussing primary sources so she can use those strategies in the classroom, which is already happening in her AP government and US government courses.
