Rapid City Area Schools uses School Messenger to send important information to families via phone calls, emails, and text messages. To comply with wireless carrier requirements and protect against unsolicited text messages, you can also register to receive text messages from the district—type “Yes” to 67587.

 

Additionally, the notification service comes with a communications app. You can download the app from your device by searching “School Messenger” in your app store.
With the new School Messenger app, parents and community members have 24/7/365 access to important school notifications such as weather and emergency alerts.

If you need help receiving information from the school district, please get in touch with your school to ensure you have opted-in to receive messages. You will no longer receive updates if you unsubscribe, report it as spam, or block the district communication email or phone number. If you have accidentally unsubscribed, contact your student’s school, and they will be able to get you re-enrolled.
