Leader in Me (LIM) is an evidence-based, comprehensive school improvement model that empowers students with the leadership and life skills they need to thrive. Horace Mann started this journey approximately five years ago. The LIM Framework focuses on one of the most important concepts (paradigms): every child has unique strengths and talents that they can use to lead. Staff and students alike learn and practice the 7 (now Habits of Highly Effective People, developed by researcher Dr. Steven Covey. These habits are most known in the business world, where his work began. There are over 7,000 schools across the globe that implement the comprehensive framework, with only a small percentage earning Lighthouse Certification.
