Students entering 9th grade shall consider their academic status/needs and career goals when selecting science courses for 9th grade. Most 9th grade students will take Physical Science 1 and 2. Students taking Physical Science as 9th graders will continue their science sequence by taking Biology 1 and 2 and then choose between Chemistry and Physics. In some cases, science students who complete Integrated Math 1 with an A and 8th grade science with an A may choose to take Biology instead of Physical Science. These students will most likely continue their science sequence by taking Chemistry and Physics. Parents and students are invited to call Stevens between
8-4 PM, January 28, 2019 – February 13, 2019, to receive assistance with registration. Please call 394-4025.
Students are encouraged to sign up for seven courses per semester, however the student’s typical academic performance and participation in extracurricular activities should be considered when determining class load. Some students might find six courses to be a more appropriate course load.
Students will not be allowed to remove any course selections after February 13, 2019, as staffing is based on students’ course selections.
Finalized Student Schedules will not be available to view until late August.
For Registration Assistance please call Marcia Geyer, Registrar @ 605-394-4025 between the hours of 7:15am and 4:00pm.
