Rapid City Area Schools (RCAS) will unveil its new master plan for school facilities on May 8 at Central High School. The event, scheduled for 6:30 p.m., will introduce the district’s vision for transforming its educational environments.
The master plan outlines a forward-thinking strategy focused on modernizing campuses and creating flexible learning spaces tailored to meet the evolving needs of students and educators. While details remain broad, district leaders emphasized that the initiative is built on collaborative input from educators, parents, and community stakeholders.
"This is an exciting step toward enhancing our schools for the future," said Coy Sasse, CFOO of RCAS. "We look forward to sharing our comprehensive vision with our community."
Community members and media representatives are encouraged to attend the event at Central High School, where additional information about the plan’s phased implementation and key initiatives will be provided.
