WHAT WE DO

Nutrition Services provides nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and snacks to K-12 students. Among our 23 schools within the district we feed approximately 3,500 breakfasts and 8,500 lunches every day. We operate many programs under the USDA’s Child Nutrition umbrella including:

  • National School Lunch Program
  • School Breakfast Program
  • Summer Food Service Program
  • Snack After School
  • Enhanced Snack Program
  • Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program

CONTINUAL GROWTH

Along with our positive work culture, we also provide professional development. These days were especially created on the calendar, by the Superintendent, as a way to provide needed training and professional development opportunities. We cover a variety of topics at these trainings including: food safety & sanitation, personal hygiene, health & wellness, team building, communication, human resource topics, etc.

STARTING WAGE

Starting wage for a food service worker is $12.54.

SCHEDULE

Our staff are 9 month employees and follow the school calendar. In addition, there are limited Summer Food Service Program positions available (varying in hours) between the months of June and August.
