What is the PAC?
The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is an advisory committee with the Rapid City Area Schools in the operation of the Title VI Indian Education Program. The PAC serves as a liaison between parents of our tribal communities and the Title VI Program. The committee offers an additional opportunity for parents to be involved in their child's education.
MEMBERS OF THE PAC
To serve on the PAC board, parents or guardians must have a student(s) within the Rapid City Area Schools with a 506 Form on file with the Title VI Office and be voted into the board by the public. PAC board meetings are held monthly throughout the school year and are open to the public to learn more about what is happening in the Title VI Indian Education office. In addition to parents/guardians on the PAC board, there are also 3 teacher representatives from Rapid City Area Schools.
