Advanced Placement (AP) Exam ordering is open for payment on eFunds from now until March 7, 2025. By taking the AP exam, students have the potential of earning college credit. This infographic gives instructions on how to order on eFunds.

Important Information:

• Upon payment, you are registered for the AP exam(s).

• Payment made by Nov. 10 (11:59pm) will be charged the regular exam fee of $102.

• Payments made Nov. 11 through March 7 (11:50pm) will incur a non-refundable late registration fee in addition to the regular exam fee ($142 total).

• If you qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch, select the reduced fee ($66 through Nov. 10, or $102 Nov. 11 – March 7).

• If you pay to take the AP exam at this time and later decide it isn’t the right choice, you can withdraw to get a portion of your money back. Students wishing to withdraw will need parental consent. All withdrawals are Emailed Jamie Strasser

• CollegeBoard has moved all AP Exams to digital testing using the application called Bluebook. Students can access Bluebook on their RCAS laptops to practice using the interface with practice tests and practice questions.

   

2025 AP Exam Dates:

All testing takes place at The Monument (Rushmore Plaza Civic Center) during the dates and times listed below:

F Fully Digital Exam: Students complete multiple-choice and FRQs in Bluebook, with all responses automatically submitted at the end of the exam.

H Hybrid Digital Exam: Students complete multiple-choice questions and view FRQs in Bluebook. They handwrite their free-response answers in paper exam booklets that are returned for scoring.

A Digital Audio Capture Exam: Students using Digital Audio Capture in the Bluebook application for the speaking components and paper for the multiple choice and free response sections.

Late testing takes place May 19-23 for students who make arrangements prior to the start of the standard exam.

By taking an AP exam, you have the opportunity to earn college credit with a passing score of 3, 4, or 5. If you already know your post-secondary institution, it is advised to check this AP Credit Policy.

Reduced Exam Fee Qualification

Students are eligible for the reduced fee exam if they meet any of the following criteria:

• The student is enrolled in a federal, state, or local program that aids students from low-income families (e.g., Federal TRIO programs such as Upward Bound)

• Enrolled in a federally funded Head Start Program

• The student’s family receives public assistance

• The student lives in federally subsidized public housing or a foster home or is homeless

• The student is a ward of the state or an orphan

• Their family’s annual income falls within the Income Eligibility Guidelines set by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service

• In households participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), or in some states, Medicaid benefits

Financial Assistance

Assistance is available to cover the cost of fees for those who are in financial hardship. Please complete this form and return it to your school counselor by Nov. 1, 2024.

Accommodations for Students with Disabilities:

School-based 504s and IEPs qualify a student to receive certain College Board accommodations for AP testing. Accommodation requests are due by Jan. 17, 2025. Email Jamie Strasser to discuss your situation.
